FAQs
Q: What’s a typical day like for boarding dogs?
A: The day starts at 6am. Dogs are all let out to potty, get a drink of water, and get out some early morning zoomies. Breakfast and morning meds are administered.
Several times throughout the day, dogs get structured play, individual play times with us, a treat session, regular potty breaks, and calm rest for nap times.
This isn’t high-stress, all-day stimulation — it’s a safe, peaceful environment built for balance.
Play groups are monitored, and carefully put together for the benefit of the dogs, and the balance of the energy.
At 6pm, dinners (any any evening meds) are given to dogs separately for safety.
Final potty let out for the evening is at 10pm and dogs are in their sleeping spaces at night.
Q: Will someone be with my dog overnight? Where do they sleep?
A: Yes. Your dog has its own cozy sleeping quarters in a custom built enclosure with plenty of space. Every dog gets a bed or a blanket and a toy. You are welcome to bring these from home as well. We do give a toy or a bone in their sleeping space as well.
We live here and your dog stays on our property the entire time. Your dog is never left alone for long periods of time. This is home-based boarding with a deeply personal touch.
We also have cameras set up the entire time when they are alone, so that we can monitor when we are busy with a client lesson or family event.
Q: How do you handle dogs that are nervous or anxious?
A: We go slow, use calm leadership and guidance, and create predictability throughout the day to help dogs feel safe. Our goal is for your dog to feel relaxed, not overwhelmed.
Q: How far in advance should I book boarding?
A: We recommend booking as early as possible, especially around holidays and school breaks — spots can fill up quickly. Last-minute stays are sometimes available, so don’t hesitate to ask!
Q: Can I check in on my dog while they’re boarding? Or do I get any updates?
A: Of course. We’re happy to give updates during their stay so you can feel confident and at ease while you’re away.
Q. Can I add training to my dog's overnight stay?
A: Yes! You can upgrade to Board and Training! This combines boarding with personalized training with your goals in mind!
