Board and Training
Our board and train programs are like a boot camp for dogs! You bring your dog to our home where they stay for a few days or weeks, depending on the desired training level. Then, we review what your dog has learned and how to maintain their training at home.
During training, your dog will learn basic obedience, good manners, polite greetings, and behavior management. In our larger programs, they will also learn how to behave without a leash! We only accept 2-4 dogs at a time to ensure the best care. Your dog will live with our family and dogs, joining us in our daily activities. They will have fun experiences like swimming, kayaking, hiking, and playing at the park. We will also address their behavioral issues and help them behave well in public. If we go on a trip, your dog will come along, becoming part of our family.
The Course is at your Dog's Pace
We prioritize the well-being and progress of dogs by granting them our full attention and adapting to their preferred pace during training. If your dog requires more time, we will promptly communicate with you to develop an alternative plan that caters to their specific needs.
Our Methods and Techniques
Our trainers utilize effective, fair techniques. We use treats, toys, and praise to motivate and reward your dog's progress, while establishing fair boundaries that provide guidance. Our methods prioritize the well-being of the dog and are easy to comprehend and apply. Consequently, our clients have achieved remarkable success with these strategies.
Real World Training
We believe in continuous training for your dog, considering them as part of your family. Our approach involves taking them on regular outings and practicing their training in a variety of environments, both familiar and unfamiliar. Whether it's a walk in the park, a visit to a bustling farmer's market, or a hike in the desert, exposing your dog to different situations and distractions is key to ensuring their training becomes reliable.
Ongoing Lifetime Support
With our board and train courses, we promise to give you great service even after the program ends. What's more is we use the Marco Polo video app, along with text and email, to stay in touch and keep track of your progress. Our aim is to transform your dog into a well-behaved and obedient companion. After the training is finished, we are still committed to your dog's success.
